Welcome, everyone, and thank you for coming to read my book. Those of you who have made it this far are truly remarkable (laughs).

I started reading novels at a very young age. In elementary school, I read *In Search of the Supernatural* and *A Journey into the Ethereal*; in middle school, I discovered *Jade Dynasty* and *Heart of Ganan*; later came *The Legend of the Mecha Master*, *Blasphemy*, *Battle Through the Heavens*, and many others. I have read at least a little of nearly every style.

I used to imagine all kinds of stories of my own, but unfortunately, for one reason or another, I never actually began writing them. It was not until three years ago that I finally made up my mind to start learning, then try putting words to paper, submitting manuscripts, and so on.

Work and life these days often leave people feeling immense pressure and exhaustion. Novels are one of the rare forms of relaxation, allowing us to enter a wondrous world removed from the trivialities of reality and experience different lives. Through my story, I hope to bring everyone a little ease and happiness. If it can also offer some warmth and comfort, then that would be better still.

On Qidian, this book is somewhat unusual in that its protagonist is a young girl. The reason is not complicated: after reading too many novels centered on grand male protagonists, I had grown somewhat tired of the same aesthetic, so I decided to place a black-haired girl at the heart of the story.

Besides, I have always loved the image of an unparalleled girl beneath colossal steel war machines—the striking contrast between fragility and strength, steel and long skirts, artillery fire and singing. There is a peculiar beauty in it that deeply appeals to me.

Some readers may be wondering why the witch and the songstress mentioned in the title have yet to appear. That is my fault; I have not introduced them quickly enough. I feel that presenting certain concepts and settings without any foundation can make them seem abrupt and superficial, so I wanted to lay a little groundwork first. I am truly sorry to have kept everyone waiting (bows).

However, the story is about to enter its main arc. Before long, everyone will see Little Tilan gradually come into contact with the songstress, while the witch’s gifts will also be revealed step by step.

Azure Sky will do its best to present everyone with a magnificent world shaped by the growth and transformation of its characters, the shifting tides of history, and the collision and conflict of countless ideals.

Although the goal may seem grand, I will never pour everything out all at once. Instead, I will weave it into small sections of the plot and story, sometimes even into just a few lines. This way, it will not interfere with the overall reading experience, while also bringing everyone a greater sense of freshness. There is no need to deliberately remember these details, but their presence will make this world feel more vivid and wondrous.

If you enjoy this book, please cast your valuable recommendation tickets and monthly tickets. That will give Azure Sky even more motivation. 0 0/~
