"Damn it, you finally showed up. You killed my brother, you deserve to die!"

Black Snake saw Su Cheng moving as if there were no one else present. He immediately aimed all his weapons at him—a kinetic rifle and an energy-release rifle. The two weapons fired in a cross-pattern, unleashing a frantic barrage.

Su Cheng reached out, grabbed two of the gang members nearby, and, ignoring their terrified screams, hurled them forcefully at Black Snake.

"Boss, no! It's us, it's us!"

Black Snake grinned savagely. Just like his brother, Black Bull, he paid no mind to his subordinates' pleas. He cleaved one henchman in two with a blade, while the other was riddled with bullets until he looked like a honeycomb.

"Did you think I would show mercy?" Black Snake roared madly. "I'll make you pay for my brother's life! Killing you a hundred times wouldn't be enough!"

Seeing this, Su Cheng picked up the corpses from the ground and threw them one after another, all while drawing a high-frequency cutting blade.

"Useless, useless, useless!" Black Snake screamed, shredding every corpse that came his way.

Suddenly, just as he sliced through another body, Su Cheng was already right in front of him. Those corpses and henchmen had been nothing more than tools to obstruct his line of sight.

But Black Snake smiled. "I was worried you wouldn't come. Go to hell and repent!" As he spoke, he extended a flamethrower from his arm, and a violent jet of fire erupted instantly. He had been hiding it all along.

Su Cheng felt a surging wave of heat rushing toward him. However, he had "Perception." The moment Black Snake raised his arm, he had already anticipated the move. Su Cheng’s body came to a sudden halt, his right foot stomping into the ground as he shifted sharply to the left, his high-frequency blade sweeping horizontally.

With the symbiotic armor and the first-sequence genetic ability "Perception," every movement was incredibly fluid. Compared to his emergency bounty missions, this was even more seamless; his body could perfectly keep pace with his vision. Once he embedded more cybernetic implants, he would be a truly complete being.

Black Snake watched in shock as Su Cheng executed the impossible maneuver, hastily using a prosthetic arm to block. He didn't know if he was a beat too slow or if Su Cheng was a beat too fast. The high-frequency blade struck his prosthetic arm, showering the area with violent sparks.

The high-frequency vibrations continuously chewed through the prosthetic alloy, slowly cutting halfway through. The weapon’s grade was too low to slice through Black Snake's cybernetics cleanly. Black Snake grinned and triggered the flamethrower again, but Su Cheng was faster. He raised a foot and kicked him directly.

The strike hit before the fire could reach him, sending Black Snake flying. Black Snake’s eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at his severed flamethrower arm, unable to stop a large mouthful of biochemical fluid from spilling out. Only then did he realize how heavy the blow his underling had endured actually was. His alloy chest had collapsed entirely, and his modified internal organs were ruptured. It was just one kick—he hadn't even been able to withstand a single kick! His entire body had been converted into titanium alloy, yet he had been crippled by one strike!

What kind of implants did the other side possess? Black. He struggled to see the black symbiotic armor covering Su Cheng's fingers. He had never seen it before. Damn it, he had kicked a steel plate.

Su Cheng applied force to his feet, causing the ground to crack, and pursued the flying Black Snake. He grabbed his remaining arm and executed a suplex, slamming him violently against Black Bull’s corpse. The force was so great that the prosthetic arm was ripped right off.

*Bang!*

Black Snake’s heavy alloy body crashed through the wooden floor, colliding with the upper half of Black Bull’s corpse against the camp wall. The massive impact caused the wall to shatter, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Heh." Seeing Su Cheng arrive before him, he suddenly laughed. "Are you a lapdog for those elites, or are you one of them?" He laboriously dragged his brother's corpse into his arms, tilting his head back to glare at Su Cheng fiercely. "To be killed by someone like you... I'm truly unwilling."

Su Cheng raised an eyebrow and said calmly, "I am not an elite, nor do I know any."

"Heh, is that so? Then I don't feel so bad." Black Snake smiled wistfully, stroking Black Bull’s face. The madness was gone, replaced by a touch of tenderness in his eyes. "Look at my brother. He was so innocent. He didn't understand anything; he was just a child who always trusted people too easily. We just wanted to live well, to live as well as those elites, to have others look up to us. What is wrong with that?" His fading cybernetic eyes looked at Su Cheng. "Tell me, what did we do wrong? Why kill him?"

Su Cheng replied coldly, "The wrong lies in the fact that you shouldn't strip others of their right to live just so you can survive."

"Heh." Black Snake offered a disdainful smile, hugging Black Bull tighter. "Strip others of their rights? What about those rich people, those elites? What about the 'New Humans' in the future city? Why do they deserve to live so well? Why did they abandon us and then take our resources?"

"Why are we left here on Earth, struggling to survive in this hellhole? Why do the rich occupy all the resources, and why can't I be like them? Have they killed fewer people than I have? They are crueler than me; they deserve to die more, don't they? I just wanted my brother to have a better life, to make sure no one dared to laugh at him for being stupid. So, it's not me who is wrong; it's this world!"

Su Cheng raised his blade. "If you feel the rich have stolen your resources, you should plunder them, not the ordinary people who are struggling just as hard as you are. Otherwise, how are you any different from them?"

With that, he swung his blade down without mercy. Black Snake let out a long breath, closed his eyes, and hugged Black Bull. "Brother, in the next life, let's not come to this world."

Su Cheng glanced at the corpses of Black Snake and Black Bull, then turned to leave. "The world has both darkness and light. The existence of darkness is no reason for you to fall, nor is it an excuse to harm and strip away the rights of those at the bottom like yourself."

"What you should do is bring more light to others, rather than letting darkness shroud the sky!"

Su Cheng could be unscrupulous for his own goals; he didn't mind ambushes, schemes, or using others. But he had his own bottom line.

After checking that none of the Death Rock gang members had survived, Su Cheng dismantled all of their cybernetics. The residents had long since fled; none dared to linger here. He transported the cybernetics away with practiced ease—after all, this was his third time. The Carnival Camp was a good place; he should come back more often.

*Beep-beep.*

It was a call from Yang Siqi. Once connected, Yang Siqi laughed, "I have two pieces of news, one good and one bad. Which one do you want to hear first?"

Su Cheng sorted the cybernetics by grade. "The good news."

"The good news is that the Death Rock gang knows Black Snake is dead, but they aren't planning to pursue it further because their losses are too great. You've brought a brief moment of peace to your area. It's all to your credit."

Su Cheng nodded. "Good, understood. You don't need to tell me the bad news; I don't want to hear it."

"???"

Yang Siqi was stunned. "You, you, you... you blockhead, do you want to die? I'll ram you!" She jokingly mimicked a headbutt.

"Go ahead, I'm just kidding."

Chen Siqi hummed. "The bad news is that they haven't given up; they plan to use their main force in the future. But I have a way. They've obtained something I want. In a few days, go get it for me, and they won't have time to look for you for a long time."

Su Cheng smiled. "If that item is so important to them, and I go take it for you, they will surely hunt me down with everything they have. In the end, they'll still be looking for me."

Yang Siqi shook her head. "No, no, no. They'll be looking for you in your disguise, not you as the repairman."
