Chapter Seventy-Three: Vengeance
Long Yaoyang was stunned—he could never have imagined that the opponent could injure someone with nothing more than a casual swing of his blade through the air.
With utter humiliation, he glared at Lin Feng and shouted, “Lin Feng, if you have the guts, come at me! It was I who humiliated you, I who beat you—the matter has nothing to do with my father!”
Long Aoyun gritted his teeth, clutching his wound tightly with his left hand to staunch the flow of blood, his whole body trembling violently from the pain.
Long Yaoyang supported his father with both hands, tears welling in his eyes as he raised his head in misery to look at Lin Feng, his voice choked with rage: “Lin Feng, are you satisfied now?”
Lin Feng glanced at Long Yaoyang, shook his head slightly, and replied with a faint smile, “Satisfied? No, this is merely the interest. Every humiliation and beating you gave me—I will repay you a hundredfold.”
“Long Yaoyang, you are the high and mighty young master of the Long family, heir to the Tianlong Hall. In your eyes, I was nothing but an insect. But from this day on, I will strip away everything you possess, piece by piece. Today, it begins with your father, Long Aoyun.”
With that, Lin Feng tapped the ground with his toes and shot forward like an arrow.
Wang Jisheng and his son only saw a dark blur pass before their eyes, and in the next instant, Lin Feng stood before Long Aoyun and his son.
“Lin Feng, don’t push people too far!” roared Long Aoyun, flinging off his blood-red cloak and baring his upper body, muscles bulging like slabs of stone.
He threw back his head and let out a tiger’s roar, his left hand gathering energy as he drove a powerful punch straight at Lin Feng’s face—an assault with all the ferocity of a tiger pouncing on its prey.
Yet, to Lin Feng, it was nothing more than a child’s clumsy display before a true master—utterly laughable and doomed to fail.
“Autumn Water Sword Finger!” Lin Feng sighed softly. With a swift motion, his two fingers pressed together and landed directly on Long Aoyun’s fist.
A sword’s hum seemed to echo, and Long Aoyun felt a chilling sword intent pierce his flesh and seep into his meridians, swirling relentlessly toward his dantian.
In less than ten seconds, that sword intent had shattered his dantian and most of his internal channels, leaving him utterly crippled.
“No—!” Long Aoyun finally broke down, hair disheveled and in complete disgrace. He collapsed to the ground like a rag doll, howling at the sky, powerless to change his fate.
“Father! What’s wrong?! Please, don’t scare me!”
Seeing his father destroyed by Lin Feng, Long Yaoyang shrieked in horror and rushed forward, throwing himself over Long Aoyun as tears streamed down his face.
“Yaoyang, my dantian is destroyed!”
“What!” Long Yaoyang stared in disbelief. Though his own martial arts were not advanced, he understood the meaning of a shattered dantian. Once it is gone, recovery is impossible—one is left a ruined man for life.
“You…”
He lifted his head to stare at Lin Feng—the same man he once tormented like a worm beneath his feet, now returned as a martial arts grandmaster who’d effortlessly crushed even his own father.
The sense of superiority and honor he’d cherished since childhood crumbled in an instant. Long Yaoyang finally broke.
A vision flashed through his mind: himself, hounded and beaten like a rat in the street, despised and helpless. Targeted by a martial arts grandmaster, his future would be nothing but misery and despair.
Terror he had never known seized his heart.
His legs gave way, and he fell to his knees before Lin Feng, snot and tears streaming as he kowtowed repeatedly, begging, “Master Lin, I was blind, driven by greed, I wronged you—please, spare me, I beg you, spare me!”
Long Yaoyang crawled on the ground like a dead dog, groveling at Lin Feng’s feet and pleading bitterly for his life, all dignity forgotten.
“Spare you? If I let you go, who will repay me for all the humiliation and torment you inflicted on me back then?”
Lin Feng kicked him in the chest, sending him sprawling. Clutching his chest, Long Yaoyang forced himself to crawl back again, slapping his own face and knocking his head against the floor as he begged for mercy.
For the sake of survival, he no longer cared for pride.
Yet after a hundred thousand years of cultivation and countless killings, Lin Feng’s heart was colder than iron. Since Long Yaoyang had chosen the path of death, no amount of begging could alter his fate.
“Wang Jisheng, throw these two out. And warn every power in Binhai City: from this day forward, any person or faction that maintains ties with the Tianlong Hall will be my mortal enemy. Let none say they were not warned.”
“Yes!” Wang Jisheng straightened his back, trembling with excitement.
He’d long regarded the Tianlong Hall as a thorn in his side—now, at last, the chance to uproot it!
With Long Aoyun crippled and Cheng Qianfeng’s fate unknown, the Tianlong Hall was at its weakest. As the saying goes, strike when your enemy is down—how could he let such an opportunity slip by?
“Little Dao, gather our men—we move out now. Tonight, I’ll wipe Tianlong Hall from the map!”
“Yes, boss! Tonight, the Jisheng Society will rule the entire Binhai City underworld!”
Wang Jisheng’s trusted followers immediately raised a battle cry, assembling their forces to destroy the Tianlong Hall in one swift stroke.
“No!”
Long Yaoyang howled in despair. With this, Tianlong Hall would be finished in Binhai City—old enemies would surely seize the chance for revenge.
The Tianlong Hall was finished—and so was he.
“Master Lin, what about these two wastes?” Wang Haiyang was unwilling to let Long Yaoyang off so easily. In recent years, the Jisheng Society had suffered repeated defeats at his hands, always losing face—now was the time to claim it back.
“Do with them as you wish, but Long Yaoyang must not die. I want him to remain in Binhai City, living like a dog.”
“Understood! Master Lin, just watch!” Wang Haiyang beamed, summoned a few men, and immediately began to beat them savagely.
“Lin Feng, wait and see! As long as I live, I’ll have my revenge! One day, I’ll make you beg for death!”
Long Yaoyang shrieked like a madman, but was soon kicked to the ground by Wang Haiyang.
“How dare you disrespect Master Lin at death’s door—beat him within an inch of his life!” Wang Haiyang sneered, ordering his men to continue.
It was a moment of pure satisfaction.
In a single night, the entire underworld of Binhai City was transformed. Where once two tigers vied for supremacy, now a single dragon reigned above all.
Relying on his own strength, Lin Feng had turned the tide and proven his unrivaled might.
Old Master Tang and the others ignored the pitiful fate of the Long father and son, instead approaching Lin Feng with beaming faces.
“Master Lin, your reputation is well deserved—victory in a single move! Such an occasion calls for a grand feast, a celebration for all!”
Old Master Tang proposed, and the others quickly chimed in:
“Yes, yes, Old Tang is right—now that Master Lin is the first among all martial artists in Binhai City, we must celebrate!”
“Master Lin has rid Binhai City of the great scourge that was Tianlong Hall—the whole city benefits. Why shouldn’t we celebrate?”
“….”
But Lin Feng simply waved his hand. This was only the qualification for the Five Provinces Martial Arts Tournament; the championship and the title of Alliance Leader were still far ahead.
To celebrate now would be premature and improper.
Besides, Lin Feng had no interest in mingling with these old foxes, wasting time on shallow connections.
As long as his cultivation advanced, he cared nothing for the opinions of mere mortals.
When the time came, a single utterance would suffice to settle everything—those who follow me will prosper, those who oppose me will perish!
