"You bastard!!!!!!" Hao Ren roared as he rushed forward, grabbing Bobby by the collar and shaking him with all his strength. "This is only my third copy, and you managed to get me stuck in a B-level copy! Are you hoping I die early?"

"I~ don't~ know~ either!" Bobby was so shaken by Hao Ren that he was dizzy and disoriented.

"This isn't the time to argue. We should focus on how to complete the mission." The ever-cheerful head maid intervened, using her flying knives to separate the two.

"Gundam~ Gundam~" The girl dressed as a blue-and-white shrine maiden, with long green hair and frog hair ornaments, had been excited since she entered this copy.

Shrine Maiden No. 2 from Moriya Shrine—Sanae Kochiya

"Phew~~~~" Wearing a green martial arts outfit in the Chinese style, with pale red long hair, drool dripping from the corner of her mouth, and her ever-present reclining armchair.

The ever-sleeping Chinese gatekeeper—Hong Meiling.

Let us return to three hours earlier.

Having no more academic burdens, Hao Ren was strolling through the plaza of the main brain when he spotted a gigantic humanoid weapon, which appeared to be a Gundam, performing aerial backflips and other stunts. As a Gundam enthusiast, his eyes lit up, and he hurried over to take a closer look.

The owner of the humanoid weapon was a short old man, about 1.4 meters tall. His sparse white hair was meticulously combed, and his eyes were narrowed to mere slits.

"Slitted eyes are all monsters," Hao Ren firmly believed.

Forcing his way through the crowd, Hao Ren fervently clung to the leg of the humanoid weapon, only to be met with disappointment, adopting the defeated 'otl' pose.

There was someone who mimicked Hao Ren's actions—a girl, to be precise.

"It's not a Gundam after all..." Shrine Maiden No. 2 and Hao Ren stood side by side, both making the 'otl' gesture.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Shiro Suzuki. It seems you don't care much for my machine," the short old man in a suit came over to introduce himself.

"So that's the famous 'White Blade,' how unexpected! Never judge a book by its cover!"

"I heard he once cleared an A-level copy flawlessly—he's no ordinary player."

"If I remember right, 'White Blade' has even founded a country in a certain copy."

"Really?"

"This humanoid weapon—could it even be built without the backing of a nation?"

"True. But is such a dangerous thing for sale?"

"I don't think so. I recall Lord 'White Blade's' motto is 'Peace Above All.'"

"His so-called 'Peace Above All' is to use weapons to eradicate all sources of unrest."

"..."

The crowd began to chatter.

"Ah, hello, I'm Black Flame Dragon. It's not that your machine is bad, just that it's not a Gundam, so I'm a bit disappointed," Hao Ren hurriedly explained, anxious not to offend this seemingly formidable person.

"Hahaha, it's fine, it's fine. This thing is just for showing off technique, absolutely useless in real combat," Shiro Suzuki, despite his small stature, exuded an imposing aura, patting Hao Ren on the shoulder. A flicker of something inexplicable flashed in his narrow eyes.

"My apologies, I'm Sanae Kochiya. I don't think your humanoid weapon is as useless as you say—it seems quite powerful," Shrine Maiden No. 2 shook off her 'otl' state.

"My name is Itakuya, secretary to Lord 'White Blade.' I'll explain this matter," said the tall female office worker behind Shiro Suzuki, adjusting her glasses.

"This is a giant humanoid weapon manufactured by our country. Its name has been abandoned, so I won't mention it," the office worker pulled out a pointer, tapping the weapon's hull as if giving a lecture.

"Why?" Hao Ren asked.

"Although it's a powerful weapon, aside from accumulating technology and boasting, it is no longer produced," the office worker sighed.

"Eh~~~~~~" Although it wasn't their preference, both Hao Ren and Sanae voiced their disappointment.

"Because even if you make an incredible robot, a fighter jet or tank built with the same technology would be more practical," the pointer waved in midair, bringing up a virtual screen before Hao Ren and Sanae, displaying a comparison between tanks, fighter jets, and humanoid weapons.

Super-tech super-cool robots: have limbs; suited for versatility; extremely cool; a man's romance. (Side note: isn't a man's romance supposed to be drills?)

Tanks and fighter jets made with the same technology: equal attack power; higher defense and mobility; stronger structural integrity; lower fuel costs and overall price; easier maintenance and greater production value; easier to learn and master; overwhelming advantages in detectability and target area; weapons don't require limbs for versatility.

"This thing... it's strong, isn't it? Equipped with the strongest defensive barrier and magical weapons..." At this moment, Shiro Suzuki, stroking the foot of the humanoid weapon, had lost all the dignity of "White Blade;" his words carried a sobbing tone.

"But... the energy consumption is just too terrifying. If it were a tank, the armor alone would provide comparable defense," as Shiro Suzuki spoke, the male players watching seemed infected, and the air itself was saturated with grievance.

"The target area is too large, so the defensive barrier must activate more often and cover more area. If hit by concentrated enemy fire, it quickly loses magical energy. It's sluggish when running, slow in flight, and wastes energy. No matter what it does, it just feels wasteful, and so there was no reason to keep producing them... It only proves that building giant humanoid weapons is a waste, so even the budget got deleted, and there's no room to complain..." The old man's disappointment deepened, and he was nearly pressed flat against the ground.

"Even with the power of magic, you can't make Gundams a reality..." The old man, now a sovereign, actually started to cry.

With their dreams shattered, Hao Ren, Sanae, and several male players collectively adopted the 'otl' pose.

"Weapons don't need romance or dreams," the office worker delivered a harsh final blow to everyone.

"Hey! Dragon, look what I got!" Bobby, just out from the game center, was humming a tune, bouncing with excitement as he greeted Hao Ren.

"Hmm?" Hao Ren, his eyes already lifeless, looked at the card in Bobby's hand.
