Zhu Genghua was dead. The entire Town Lord’s Manor, and even the whole of Senyuan Town, was thrown into panic.

Everyone knew Zhu Genghua was an official dispatched by the Empire. People of the Empire were not to be killed lightly—by killing an imperial official, Gu Feng had effectively declared himself an enemy of the Empire.

The strongest expert in the Town Lord’s Manor, a level-nine Spirit Master, soared toward Gu Feng and Gu Yan.

Gu Feng looked at the gruesomely slain Zhu Genghua, momentarily speechless. Was his little sister competing with him for experience points?

Seeing the level-nine Spirit Master approach, Gu Yan stepped in front of Gu Feng, her voice firm, “Brother, let me protect you.”

Gu Yan was visibly excited; devouring the spiritual power of others had become as addictive as a drug, and she could no longer control herself.

Frowning, Gu Feng grabbed her hand and asked, “Sister, are you alright?”

He knew his sister had always been kind-hearted. Now, she had killed someone, and the more she killed, the more exhilarated she became—this was not the Gu Yan he knew.

Gu Yan glanced at Gu Feng in confusion. “Brother, I’m fine!” Then she looked at the level-nine Spirit Master. “Brother, let me devour him first, then we’ll talk!”

Gu Feng quickly seized hold of Gu Yan and asked the system in his mind, “Old man, what’s wrong with my sister?”

The old system spirit yawned and replied, “She’s addicted to the Devouring Technique, obviously. Listen up, kid—if things go on like this, your sister will become a monstrous being, devouring everything, even the heavens themselves.”

Gu Feng was shocked. “What?!”

The old system spirit chuckled, “That’s why this technique was meant for you alone. With my help, I can suppress its side effects for you. Your sister? Well, you know…”

Gu Feng grew angry. “Damn it, just tell me—how do I save my sister?”

The old system spirit grinned slyly, “It’s simple—make her your woman. Combine your yin and yang energies, and I can help you suppress her devouring urge.”

He continued to tempt him, “Listen, if you’re with your sister, she hasn’t fully refined the Dragon Vein energy she received. You’ll benefit as well. Plus, with dual cultivation, both your levels will soar. Tempted yet?”

Gu Feng cursed furiously, “You bastard! She’s my sister.”

The system scoffed, “She’s not your real sister. And even if she were, with me around, you have nothing to fear. Besides, Gu Yan has the Chaotic Beauty Physique—doesn’t that stir your heart?”

Gu Feng was taken aback. “What is the Chaotic Beauty Physique?”

The system erupted in laughter. “A natural-born enchantress—her beauty and allure grow with her strength. The key word is ‘allure’—you know what I mean. And she’s practicing the Chaos-level Devouring Heaven Technique. Even I can’t imagine how powerful she’ll become. Work hard, boy, or you’ll be outdone by a woman and lose all face.”

Gu Feng was exasperated. “Enough with your nonsense. Give me a real way to save my sister!”

The system grumbled, “Didn’t I just give you one? Sleep with her. It’s good for everyone.”

Gu Feng roared in anger, “You bastard, my sister is only fourteen!”

The system burst out laughing, “So that’s it! I wondered why you weren’t tempted by such a pretty girl—turns out you think she’s too young. Listen, with the Chaotic Beauty Physique and the power of chaos, if you combine with her and absorb some of that chaos power, she’ll be able to suppress her devouring urge herself.”

“But, if I absorb my sister’s chaos power, will it affect her?”

The system grew serious. “There will be some effect, but not much. I’ll just use her chaos power to strengthen your body. When you’re strong enough, you can return the source of her chaos power. Besides, with the Devouring Technique, even without it, she’ll become incomparably strong.”

Gu Feng took a deep breath. “So after all that, you’re still telling me to sleep with my sister?”

The system replied offhandedly, “Isn’t that a good thing? If I were human, I’d want to as well.”

Gu Feng cursed, “Get lost.”

Gu Yan watched her brother stand there in a daze, hand still clutching hers. She reached up to touch his forehead. “Brother, are you alright?”

Gu Feng, lost in thoughts of sleeping with his sister, blurted out, “I’m fine. Sister, let’s sleep.”

Gu Yan shrieked, “Ah!” Her face instantly flushed crimson and she lowered her head, embarrassed.

Gu Feng’s own face reddened as he looked around uneasily.

Sure enough, Gu Xueyuan and Gu Dongliu, who had heard him, were both staring at him with meaningful looks.

Though Gu Yan had slept in the same bed as Gu Feng since childhood, often finding herself in his arms while sleeping and feeling the warmth of his embrace, the more she thought about it, the happier she felt. In a soft voice, she replied, “Mm.”

The level-nine Spirit Master of the Town Lord’s Manor was trembling with rage. He’d flown over all this way, only to find the siblings holding hands and discussing sleeping together. Just how desperate could they be?

He bellowed, “You two are outrageous!”

Those on the ground and in the distance hadn’t heard the siblings’ conversation and had no idea what had enraged the Spirit Master so much.

The devouring urge Gu Yan had barely managed to suppress was reignited by the Spirit Master himself. In an instant, she broke free of Gu Feng’s grip and approached the Spirit Master, pointing a finger at his dantian.

Gu Feng felt his hand suddenly empty and saw his sister make her move.

He cried out in alarm, but it was too late to stop her. He was left speechless once again—there went more experience.

Having devoured the Spirit Master’s spiritual energy, Gu Yan skipped back to Gu Feng’s side, snuggling directly into his arms.

The level-nine Spirit Master’s eyes were filled with terror and despair as he stared at Gu Yan. Finally, he understood what Zhu Genghua had suffered. As he crashed to the ground, he roared, “You are a demon!”

Bang!

He followed Zhu Genghua to his doom.

Witnessing the bizarre and tragic deaths of the two strongest figures in Senyuan Town, everyone held their breath. The world fell instantly silent.

Without so much as a word to Gu Xueyuan and Gu Dongliu, Gu Feng scooped Gu Yan into his arms and sped away.

On the bustling streets of Senyuan Town, Xue Wen watched the siblings depart, her heart pounding with excitement. To slay level-eight and level-nine Spirit Masters so easily, and at such a young age—this was exactly the person she’d been searching for. Without hesitation, Xue Wen raced after them.

Thanks to his enhanced physical strength, Gu Feng’s speed was formidable. In just over ten minutes, they returned to Sen Village.

At that moment, wild wolves were swarming the southeastern part of the village, already inside and slaughtering without restraint.

Cries of despair and wailing filled the air as villagers were attacked.

A sharp-eyed villager spotted Gu Feng and Gu Yan floating overhead. But their auras had changed so much that no one recognized them.

Seeing the two, the villagers fell to their knees, kowtowing in desperation. “Immortals, please save us! We beg you, save us!”

Gu Feng was about to act, but Gu Yan said, “Brother, let me handle this.”

Gu Feng hesitated, wondering if even ‘wolves’ were subject to his sister’s devouring powers.

A green light flared in Gu Yan’s hand. With a casual wave, it split into countless glowing needles, each shooting towards a wolf as if guided by unseen eyes.

Silently, every wolf collapsed.

Gu Feng couldn’t help swallowing nervously. This group attack skill was incredible. If it were up to him, he would have had to slay them one by one.

Gu Yan looked proudly at her dazed brother. “Well, brother, am I amazing or what?”

Seeing her so pleased, Gu Feng grinned mischievously, “You’re amazing, but your brother has some impressive moves too. Let me show you.”
