Undying Resurrection System A peculiar odor 2567 words 2026-03-05 01:08:17

Gu Yan was unconcerned; with her current strength, she feared no one except perhaps a few ancient beings. This time, Gu Feng had not given her a resurrection coordinate, so she could not leave.

Xue Wen and Xue Ziyan both looked at Gu Yan. Gu Yan walked over, gently took Xue Ziyan’s hand, who was grief-stricken, and together they approached Xue Wen. The three women, hand in hand, entered the Xue family residence. No one dared obstruct them.

On the way, Gu Yan told the other two, “Gu Feng is not dead. The one who self-destructed was merely a clone. Within twelve hours, Gu Feng will come to find you both.” Hearing this, the two women were shocked, skeptical. “Gu Yan, you aren’t deceiving us, are you?” Gu Yan replied earnestly, “Who has known my brother longer, me or you? Do you see me worrying at all?”

The Xue family’s elders watched the three women enter and walk away. Some then turned to Xue Wuwei, asking, “Patriarch, what should we do about that girl?” As patriarch, Xue Wuwei was a careful observer. He noticed that Gu Yan showed no negative emotions over Gu Feng’s death, which was quite odd. Wasn’t she Gu Feng’s sister? Shouldn’t she be heartbroken? Why wasn’t she at all saddened?

Xue Wuwei sensed something was amiss, though he couldn’t pinpoint what. He realized Gu Yan must not be offended, and he sternly warned everyone, “From this moment, Gu Yan is an honored guest of the Xue family. No one is to slight her in any way.”

Later, Xue Wuwei found his sister Xue Ziyan, demanding she tell him everything, without lies. Xue Ziyan, seeing no alternative, recounted her story with Gu Feng, naturally including Xue Wen.

Upon hearing it all, Xue Wuwei roared in anger, “Absurd! This is outrageous!” Xue Ziyan sobbed, “Brother, what’s done is done...” Xue Wuwei barked, “Be silent. Gu Feng is dead now. You will keep this secret forever.”

Xue Ziyan hurriedly corrected him, “Brother, Gu Feng isn’t dead. Only his clone perished. Tomorrow, Gu Feng will send another clone.” Xue Wuwei was stunned. “Is this true?” Xue Ziyan replied confidently, “Of course it’s true. Otherwise, why do you think his sister isn’t mourning at all?”

Reflecting on this, Xue Wuwei realized she was right. The more he thought, the more shocked he became. A clone took away a high-priced spirit master, and another clone would arrive soon. With Gu Feng at odds with the Feng family, Xue Wuwei could hardly imagine what would happen. Was the Feng family doomed at Gu Feng’s hands? And what of the City Lord’s Mansion of White Spirit City?

At this moment, White Spirit City was in turmoil. Both major powers were mobilizing their people. The Feng family sent a host of experts to Upper Central City, as did the City Lord’s Mansion.

Upper Central City’s City Lord’s Mansion remained calm. Even the city guards who usually patrolled the streets had vanished. The entire Upper Central City knew that chaos was imminent. Those fearful for their lives, especially residents near the Xue family, had already packed up and fled to seek safety.

As the saying goes, when immortals fight, mortals suffer. If you can’t afford to provoke, you can at least avoid.

From White Spirit City to Upper Central City, even a spirit master would need a full day and night to reach their destination. So, knowing Gu Feng would return the next day, Xue Wuwei felt no anxiety.

To Xue Wuwei, Gu Feng’s return would surely bring formidable allies. He imagined perhaps a grand spirit master would descend upon Upper Central City. Grand spirit masters existed only in the empire’s three royal cities and the capital, serving as pillars of the empire.

In truth, the Great Qin Empire was on the fringe of the Great Wilderness, its spiritual energy sparse; grand spirit master was the highest attainable rank. Each year, the Great Qin Empire was required to pay tribute to neighboring empires: the Wind Wave Empire and the Sun Moon Empire.

The existence of the Great Qin Empire was awkward. Any neighboring empire, even the power of a second-tier city, could easily conquer it. Yet none chose to do so. The Great Qin Empire was remote, resources were scarce, its population impoverished; conquering it brought no profit, and managing it would be troublesome. Better to collect some tribute and leave it alone. Thus, the backward Great Qin Empire managed to survive.

Twelve hours passed swiftly. It was now four in the morning. Gu Feng had set the resurrection point—in Xue Wen’s room. To Gu Feng’s delight, both Gu Yan and Xue Ziyan were staying in Xue Wen’s room.

Gu Feng chuckled, “Lucky me.” A white light flashed in Xue Wen’s room. The glow immediately roused the three women. Seeing the familiar light, they rejoiced, quickly leaping from bed to embrace Gu Feng.

“Brother!”
“Feng!”
“Feng!”

Gu Feng hugged the three women, his hand caressing Gu Yan’s soft chest. “Did you miss me?” he asked.

Xue Ziyan teased, “Not at all.”

Gu Feng feigned a dour expression and lunged at Xue Ziyan. “If you didn’t miss me, then you must suffer my punishment!” He pinned Xue Ziyan beneath him.

“Ah!” Xue Ziyan shrieked, but instead of evading him, she actively embraced Gu Feng in a passionate kiss.

Gu Feng wailed, “I’ve fallen into your trap.” And so, Gu Feng and the three women engaged in a fierce battle...

As dawn approached and the crimson sun rose in the east, a maid came to rouse Xue Wen. The sound of knocking and her call for the young lady disturbed them.

Xue Wen complained, “Xiao Xue, go about your business. Let me sleep a bit longer.”

“Ah!” No sooner had she spoken, Gu Feng’s intensity became too much, and Xue Wen couldn’t help but cry out.

Xiao Xue heard the scream and was alarmed, shouting, “Miss!” before pushing open the door.

Xue Wen, by habit, did not lock her door when sleeping. Xiao Xue burst in and saw Gu Feng moving vigorously, clutching two fair legs. Even more astonishing, there were others watching, including Xue Wen’s youngest aunt.

Xiao Xue was dumbstruck, feeling her mistress and Yan Yi were far too wild.

Xue Wen’s face flushed as she looked at Xiao Xue. She had been the last to be with Gu Feng, so she was terribly embarrassed.

Gu Feng ignored Xiao Xue, his movements becoming even more vigorous at the crucial moment.

Xue Ziyan frowned at Xiao Xue, “Why are you standing there? Close the door at once.”

Xiao Xue hurried to shut the door. At the threshold, she saw Xue Wen’s mother, Dou Ying, approaching.

Dou Ying spotted Xiao Xue and immediately asked, “Xiao Xue, where’s Wen’er? Still not up?” As she spoke, she had already reached the door.

Xiao Xue had no choice but to scream, “Ah!” hoping to help her mistress.

Hearing her mother’s voice, Xue Wen was startled and whispered urgently to Gu Feng, “Feng, stop, my mother’s here.”

Xue Ziyan quickly drew the mosquito net, feeling nervous. She was sharing a man with her niece—she was flustered.

In fact, Xue Wen’s mother had not been home the day before, only returning that morning. She hadn’t even seen Xue Wuwei and had come straight to find Xue Wen.

Although she was Xue Wen’s mother, she treated Xue Wen and Xue Ziyan like sisters, sharing everything with them. She was eager to tell Xue Wen about her recent experiences.

Dou Ying thought Xiao Xue was acting oddly, and upon entering the room, saw Xue Wen’s bed shaking violently. She was instantly alarmed, rushing over and crying loudly, “Wen’er, what’s happened to you?”
