Hearing the saleswoman’s astonished cry, all the members of the Su family came over, casting surprised glances at Jiang Hao.

Had Jiang Hao really bought this villa?

How could that be possible? How could Jiang Hao have that much money to purchase a villa worth thirty million? Besides, hadn’t he just said he was only there to clean?

Su Tianming patted the saleswoman on the shoulder, then grinned and said, “Miss, you must be mistaken. Jiang Hao is our family’s live-in son-in-law—the infamous ‘kept man’ of Maple Leaf City. How could he possibly afford a villa worth thirty million?”

“Exactly, how could he possibly have that kind of ability?” Zhang Liping added sarcastically.

Su Bingming thought for a moment and asked, “Miss, you must be confused. There’s no way Jiang Hao could have bought this villa. He simply doesn’t have the means.”

The Su family all voiced their disbelief, united in their certainty that Jiang Hao could not possibly be the owner of the villa.

Only Su Qingli hesitated, eyeing Jiang Hao uncertainly.

Ever since the incident with the kidney, Jiang Hao had become a completely different person. He was nothing like before. And now he even owned a supercar—a Bugatti Veyron worth tens of millions.

If Jiang Hao really had bought the villa, it wasn’t entirely impossible.

But this was just her private thought. She didn’t dare say it out loud, knowing that even if she did, her mother Zhang Liping, her father Su Bingming, and the rest of the Su family would never believe her.

The saleswoman, however, grew increasingly flustered, her expression turning to one of panic.

She paid no attention to the Su family’s words, hurrying over to Jiang Hao and bowing deeply.

“I’m terribly sorry, Mr. Jiang. Could you please confirm whether you did buy this villa? Our sales records haven’t been updated yet, so I mistakenly thought the villa hadn’t been sold. But now—”

She trailed off, unable to continue, overwhelmed by confusion and not knowing what to say.

Jiang Hao gave a soft sigh, his expression tinged with regret.

He had wanted to enjoy this amusing little game a while longer, but now, thanks to the saleswoman, it could go on no further.

But that was all right.

With a faint smile, Jiang Hao nodded to the saleswoman and said, “Since you’ve realized the truth, there’s no need for me to hide it any longer. Yes, I’ve bought this villa.”

“So it really is true…” The saleswoman’s face filled with understanding, and she hurriedly apologized to Jiang Hao.

Su Tianming, however, strode over, refusing to believe it. “Stop joking. How could he possibly afford a thirty-million villa? If he could, then everyone in Maple Leaf City would be a millionaire!”

“Exactly! He’s just a son-in-law who married into our family. Why pretend to be so rich?” Zhang Liping sneered acidly.

The Su matriarch came over and, after a moment’s hesitation, asked seriously, “Jiang Hao, tell the truth. Is this villa really yours? Are you here to clean, or do you actually live here?”

Jiang Hao smiled calmly and replied, “I did say I was cleaning here just now, but did I ever say I was a janitor? I live here, and since it’s my home, why shouldn’t I clean it?”

At these words, everyone looked utterly stunned.

“I don’t believe it! I absolutely refuse to believe it! Jiang Hao, you really think you’re capable of this? That you have this much money? Quit putting on airs in front of me!” Su Tianming, struck by the sudden blow, was nearly driven mad. He ranted and raved, waving his arms wildly in the air, looking completely ridiculous.

Without another word, Jiang Hao turned and went inside, emerging with the sales contract and property deed.

He held them up for all to see.

“Look here, this is the sales contract for the villa, and this is the property deed. Both clearly bear my name. What else is there to say?”

Jiang Hao’s declaration struck the Su family like a bolt of lightning, rendering everyone speechless.

The villa really was Jiang Hao’s!

Su Bingming gazed at Jiang Hao in shock, never having imagined that the son-in-law who had left the family would, in the blink of an eye, buy a luxury home worth thirty million!

The three of them were still living in an ordinary apartment themselves.

Zhang Liping, green with envy, longed to snatch the contract and deed from Jiang Hao’s hands, change the name to her own, and claim the villa for herself.

The rest of the Su family were equally stunned, at a loss for words.

Seeing the shocked faces of the Su family, Jiang Hao felt an indescribable satisfaction.

He had denied being the owner from the start precisely so he could savor their reactions at this moment.

Now, his goal was accomplished.

If he could, Jiang Hao would have liked to take out his phone and snap a photo of their priceless expressions, to look at and laugh over in the future whenever he was bored.

It was at this moment that a car horn sounded outside.

Everyone turned to look. A black Mercedes had stopped in front of the villa gates, and a young man and a strikingly beautiful female secretary got out.

Who else could the young man be but Zhao Ziyun, the heir of the Zhao family? And the beautiful woman beside him was, of course, his secretary.

They walked briskly into the villa, and upon entering the hall, Zhao Ziyun spoke apologetically. “I’m terribly sorry, Mr. Jiang. This was a mistake on the part of our Zhao Real Estate Group’s sales center. Please rest assured, I will deal with the responsible staff appropriately.”

Hearing this, the saleswoman standing before Jiang Hao turned ashen, as if the sky had fallen.

She hurriedly apologized to Zhao Ziyun. “I’m so sorry, General Manager. It was my fault—I was careless. But I didn’t expect our records to be out of date. This isn’t entirely my fault…”

“Enough!” Zhao Ziyun snapped angrily.

Terrified, the saleswoman fell silent, not daring to utter another word.

Jiang Hao smiled and said, “It’s a minor issue, nothing to worry about, Mr. Zhao. Your staff did a fine job—I don’t blame her.”

Hearing this, Zhao Ziyun finally breathed a sigh of relief.
